From prison to the stage, this is the intimate story of a life saved by art.
Redwane Rajel discovered theatre in prison with Olivier Py, then director of the Avignon Festival. Marking the starting point of his journey to the stage: In the shadow of the streetlamp This is his story, intimate and poignant. With him, we walk through the prison corridors up to his trial and the decisive moment that will lead him to the stage.

Enzo Verdet's restrained staging avoids the pitfalls of voyeurism. It shows, with infinite delicacy, human beings as they are: fallible.
