Mutual insurance or supplementary cover health

We strongly advise you to take out a mutual insurance policy, as social security does not reimburse everything, or not at 100%.
Depending on the plan chosen, the mutual supplements reimbursement of social security in part or in full, it provides the right to third-party payment and full reimbursement of hospital costs. Depending on the formula, it can also be used to cover other risks, including civil liabilitysometimes sports, internships, stays abroad...

Attention

If you don't have a mutuelle, you'll have to pay for any treatment not covered by your social security organization.

International students

The first thing to check is whether your situation qualifies you for health insurance, or whether there is an agreement between your country and France. If you are eligible for health insurance, we strongly recommend that you take out complementary health insurance, also known as a mutuelle, to ensure that you are better reimbursed.

How to choose your mutual insurance company?

Most of the time, it is more advantageous for students to benefit from their parents' mutual insurance! Otherwise, make sure you compare according to your needs: glasses, dentist, contraception... Ask about associated services: civil liability, home insurance...
