Financial aid for medical students
€400 per month for 6 months
  • Interns working for a doctor located in a rural area (sectors of Saint-Agrève, Le Cheylard, Les Vans, Joyeuse, Lamastre, Largentière...).
  • Students enrolled in a medical school in Lyon or Saint-Etienne.

Parental guarantee required
  • Pursue studies abroad at a university or school recognized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
  • Continuity of studies in relation to the curriculum.
  • Minimum duration of one year.
  • To have French nationality.
  • Parents have been domiciled in Ardèche for more than 3 years.
  • The age limit is set at 30 years old.
  • This can be combined with other forms of assistance.

Financial aid offered by the city of Valence

Student Municipal Contract
€600 minimum

In return: to participate in one or more missions in service to the community or an association in Valence (for a total duration of 25 hours).
  • To have lived in Valence for at least five years.
  • To be enrolled in a higher education program and in a public or private institution under contract.
  • To move up to the next grade,
  • Provide proof of application for a state or regional scholarship and must include the award notice.
  • Correspondence studies may be taken into account provided that it is a degree-granting course delivered by an organization approved by the National Education system.
  • Studies must be the student's primary activity. The years of gap year are not eligible for the municipal student contract.
