Find a student job

Advice and help to find a job as part of your studies.

Be careful!

You need to find the right balance between your studies and your job: more than 15 hours a week has a significant impact on your attendance and success!

Attendance at tutorials and practical work is compulsory, a job does not constitute a justified absence.

In the event of unjustified absence, you may be considered as "failing", resulting in failure of the continuous assessment and termination of your Crous grant.

International students

Certain restrictions may apply to international students, depending on their nationality and type of residence document. It's important to find out what your rights are before considering working in France.

How do I find a job?

The first step is to determine your availability and the sectors of activity that might interest you.

Working at university

Did you know that the Université Grenoble Alpes (UGA) and the Crous are also employers? They offer suitable contracts to students all year round on our campuses. It's the ideal way to combine work and study!

  • Jobee: UGA's student employment platform.
  • Jobaviz: Crous student employment platform.
  • Service accueil handicap: UGA's Service Accueil Handicap recruits people throughout the year to support students with disabilities.

Consult offers

To find information and advertisements, consult free newspapers, the press and the Internet. Don't forget your contacts, posters in shops and all job-related events (fairs, forums...).

Here are a few tips on how to search :

Use your network

Let your family and friends know what you're up to - it can be very useful.

Send unsolicited applications

Think about unsolicited applications to the organizations that interest you. You can also apply directly with your CV and covering letter. This is essential if you want to work as a temp.

Beware the uberization of work

More and more jobs require the creation of an auto-entrepreneur status, such as delivery platforms or other temporary work agencies. Be aware that auto-entrepreneur status has an impact on your personal and tax situation, and does not guarantee a regular income.

Application preparation aids

Applying for an internship, a job or a training course can't be improvised. To present yourself at your best in front of a recruiter, you need to work on your communication tools: CV, cover letter and interview.

The teams at Espace OIP Grenoble and CIO'SUP Valence can help you make the most of your experience, highlighting the skills it has brought you, and then support you in your search for and response to internship, job or training offers.

Students with disabilities

Like all the services offered by the Service Accueil Handicap, the job placement support service can be called upon at any time during the student's university career. This service enables students to question the place of their disability in the construction of their professional project.
