How do silence and noise impact your library experience? What kind of soundscapes do you look for when you visit libraries? This short survey aims to better understand your needs and expectations.
You can find the link to the online questionnaire.

The survey "Concentration, the University Library and Me," which concluded in May 2026, was a success, gathering 2,950 responses. These responses included:
  • Silence emerged as a major factor in concentration (for 68% of respondents).
  • Noise emerged as the primary factor causing distraction (for 60% of respondents).
This questionnaire about silence is intended as a complement to the survey on concentration. It aims to better understand your experience of silence and noise in the library.

You can respond online until October 25th. Thank you for your time.

Based on these results, we hope to be able to offer new services and facilities that will improve our reception conditions.
