Public transport in Grenoble and the Grenoble metropolitan area: the M network

Grenoble and its surrounding area have 45 bus lines and 5 tram lines. The public transport network in Grenoble is called M réso. It serves all university campuses.

Student rates: discounts and solidarity pricing

Students can benefit from reduced fares on the network, supplemented by solidarity fares determined according to family income or specific social criteria.

Pastel solidarity pricing

  • Students receiving a Crous scholarship or the specific annual allowance for students in difficulty:
    • Levels 4 to 7: access to Pastel A pricing
    • Levels 2 and 3: access to Pastel B pricing
  • Non-scholarship students holding the “€1 Meal”: access to Pastel A pricing.

Students can also access Pastel rates according to their personal or family income bracket.

How to benefit from it?

Go to a mobility agency with the following documents:

  • A document that corresponds to your situation (Crous scholarship, specific annual allowance for students in difficulty or “Meals at €1” certificate).
  • An identity document.
  • Your Oùra card.

Be careful!

Tickets and passes must be validated inside the bus and on the platform for trams, for each journey and even when transferring. Beware of ticket checks! Fines range from €60 for immediate payment to €110 for payment after 10 days!
