The aim of the association is to unite students, energize student life and campus life in Valence, and organize events for students.
The AVE was created in January 1984, by students who, faced with the development of higher education in the Drôme and Ardèche regions, wanted to unify and coordinate student initiatives. Today, the AVE brings together 16 student associations, making it a key player on the Valence campus. Thanks to the network formed by the associations it federates, the AVE is present in every higher education establishment, providing students with an information relay.

Over the years, the AVE and its member associations have succeeded in staging large-scale events.
Back to school for students
Co-organized with the UGA Valence Drôme Ardèche Campus, it gives new arrivals the opportunity to discover student services, associations and the BDE through a treasure hunt, entertainment and an evening concert!
The student challenge
This sporting and fun event, unique in France, brings together all the higher education establishments. The event represents the student spirit of Valence: over a weekend, some 5,000 students compete and parade through the streets of Valence, proudly defending the colors of their institution.
Student Gala
The biggest student party in October, with a theme kept secret until two days before the event, and an all-night light and sound show at the Chaban Delmas multi-purpose hall.
The music festival
Every year, AVE takes part in the Fête de la Musique on Place Latour-Maubourg with a variety of student artists!
Charity and solidarity events
The federation takes part in the Telethon, setting up booths with entertainment to collect donations, which are then donated. Every year, it renews the "Noël des Enfants" operation, to raise funds to buy toys for sick children over the Christmas period. Gifts are distributed during an afternoon show staged by students. The AVE also organizes a student lottery, with all proceeds going to the Crous.
Prevention
In conjunction with the Centre health Jeunes, the UGA's student life department and the Bandanas Blancs association, it organizes prevention initiatives:
prevention in the party environment, sexist and sexual violence (VSS).
Student evenings
On certain Thursday evenings, in collaboration with certain federated associations, the AVE organizes student parties. The evenings revolve around a theme chosen by the organizing associations, who encourage entertainment and masquerade costume. It also organizes "Capitaine de soirée" road safety operations. In return, drivers agree not to drink alcohol during the evening. The AVE also runs a shuttle service that brings students to and from parties at affordable prices and in complete safety.
AVE card
On sale at €15 for a new membership, or €12 for a renewal. The card entitles the holder to take part in all events organized by the federated associations and the AVE (Challenge, Gala, student parties, etc.). It also entitles students to benefits from AVE partners (stores, leisure activities, restaurants, etc.), and to reduced rates at the "Le Partiel" association café.
