Glob'Alps is an association founded in 1999, initially named Globule38. It is run by and for doctoral students of the Chemistry and Life Sciences doctoral school at Université Grenoble Alpes. Its primary objective is to bring together young researchers from the three Grenoble campuses through various events. It also aims to integrate those from other regions and countries. Support is also provided to master's students in their career choices, whether in academia or the private sector.
Extracurricular events such as after-work gatherings were organized whenever possible to share a convivial moment outside of the scientific context. These events also provided an opportunity for the association to showcase Grenoble's institutions. Other cultural and scientific events are organized to promote the region or share its scientific knowledge with the general public. Examples include after-work gatherings, Pint of Science events, and hikes.
