The disability system

In accordance with the law of February 11, 2005 on equal rights and opportunities for people with disabilities, and the "Universités Handicap" charter signed in 2012 by the Conference of University Presidents and the Ministry of Higher Education and Research, Université Grenoble Alpes makes the necessary arrangements to support students with disabilities, in compliance with the university's general rules.

The law of February 11, 2005 provides a legal definition of disability: "For the purposes of the present law, a disability is any limitation of activity or restriction of participation in society experienced by a person in his or her environment due to a substantial, lasting or definitive impairment of one or more physical, sensory, mental, cognitive or psychological functions, a multiple disability or a disabling health disorder."
