Social services

If you are no longer able to pay for your meals and are struggling to meet your basic needs, you can make an appointment with a social worker at the CROUS (Regional Center for Student Services) to find a solution tailored to your situation. Appointments take place at 6 rue Derodon in Valence. Drop-in sessions are also held every two weeks at the center. health young people from Valencia.

Solé'Val, student solidarity in Valence

Solé'Val is a student solidarity association that fights against student poverty. Every week, it organizes free distributions of essential goods, offers social support, provides occasional financial assistance, and participates in numerous solidarity events to strengthen social bonds and student life. To benefit from these services, simply present your student ID card or proof of enrollment. Distributions take place at the Crous Derodon residence, located at 6 rue Derodon in Valence.

The student basket

The student basket is a Red Cross device. It is a balanced basket at the price of €6 worth approximately €50, the basket contains vegetables, fruit, milk, pasta, butter, oil, eggs, bread, coffee, tea, or hot chocolate powder. In addition to the basket, students have access to all groceries at reduced prices. This basket is intended for scholarship students, students with low incomes, or students experiencing financial difficulties.

Épival, Valence's community grocery store

Epival is a social and solidarity grocery store run by the CCAS (Centre Communal d'Action Sociale) of the City of Valence. It is aimed at people residing in Valence with no income or modest resources, after they have submitted a file to the social worker at the CROUS (Centre Régional d'Études et de Services) or the CCAS.
