Nathalie Morazin, pianist and composer, and Adrien Mondot, computer juggler and LUX partner, set off on a fabulous epic. In ENCYCLIES, music takes shape, images come to life and our senses are multiplied.

A sea of luminous sand seems bewitched by a piano: embarked on by a percussive march, it disappears beneath the instrument in a hypnotic swirl. Millions of particles then orbit the pianist, oscillating ever more rapidly. Still diffracted in concentric circles that seem to dance, the image this time seems to be drawn with a calligraphic brush, before metamorphosing, once again, to materialize new landscapes.

Following Piano Piano, presented at LUX in October 2023, Encyclies - named after the wave that forms on the surface of water when ricochets are made - is the second opus in Adrien Mondot's "Synesthésies" cycle. For this new encounter between music and projected image, the computerized juggler has invited Nathalie Morazin, a singer-pianist whose compositions border on cosmic trance. As if immersed in a tableau vivant activated live by software and motion sensors, the pair invite young and old alike to discover previously unknown senses. In this dreamlike epic, we are able to see silences and vibrations in the air, hear darkness, feel the resonance of chords, and almost touch light.
