An immersive, documentary-style theatrical concert-performance evening: "(Un)Sophisticated Ladies"

Featured Show , Society
March 11, 2026 Saint-Martin-d'Hères - University Campus
As part of Equality Month, attend an evening of theatrical concert-performances about equality and inclusion!

The program

  • At 8 p.m.: skits, dance, and music based on the themes explored in the show, presented by La Fab des Arts
  • At 9 p.m.: the show (Un)Sophisticated Ladies
Immersed in the atmosphere of a New York jazz club from the 1920s to the 1940s, this show pays tribute to the female instrumentalists, composers, and conductors who have remained in the shadows, still largely unknown in France. These figures are embodied by a cigarette girl whose creativity, tenacity, and conviction make her a symbol of emancipation and inspiration for new generations. (Un)Sophisticated Ladies thus addresses contemporary themes: equality, diversity, inclusion, and recognition.
