Third film in the film-discussion series. Discover each week a phase of the computer hardware lifecycle and its hidden aspects: the use of AI.

The third film in the cycle "Life of computer hardware and discovery of the often hidden side of digital technology", this medium-length film deals with the usage phase – The sacrifices of AI – by Henri Poulain.

Synopsis:

Magical, autonomous, all-powerful: artificial intelligences fuel dreams as well as nightmares.
While tech giants promise the advent of a new humanity, the reality of their production remains completely obscured.
While data centers pave over landscapes and dry up rivers, millions of workers around the world prepare the billions of data points that will feed the voracious algorithms of Big Tech, at the cost of their health mental and emotional.
Could they be collateral damage from the "long-termism" ideology that has been brewing in Silicon Valley for the past few years?
