Give blood, save lives!

Announcements: Staff Life, Student Life
March 10, 2026 - March 11, 2026 Saint-Martin-d'Hères - University Campus
Because blood supplies remain critically low, the French Blood Establishment (EFS) is organizing another blood drive on campus. To save lives, set aside an hour on March 10th or 11th between 1:30 pm and 5:00 pm. Appointments at Grenoble IAE are now open!
Did you know you can save 3 lives? How? All it takes is one hour and two drops of generosity to donate blood!

"Share your power, give your blood!"

Every day, 10,000 blood donations are needed to meet the needs of patients, including 1,400 in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. For reserves to be replenished regularly, it is essential that donors respond throughout the year. Currently, no treatment or synthetic drug can replace labile blood products.

The French Blood Establishment (EFS) is therefore appealing to your generosity and is organizing another blood drive on Tuesday 10 and Wednesday 11 March 2026 from 1:30 pm to 5 pm at Grenoble IAE (access map) on the university campus. We're counting on you! The last blood drive organized in December 2025 at Grenoble IAE brought together 82 students and staff and collected 71 units of blood for patients. Thank you!

Note: the minimum interval between two blood donations is 8 weeks. If you cannot participate in this mobile blood drive, you can donate blood at the Grenoble - La Tronche Blood Donation Center throughout the year.

Conditions for donating

  • Be between 18 and 70 years old
  • Being in good health health
  • Please bring a form of identification (if it is your first donation).
  • Not to be fasting (having eaten and drunk during the day)
  • Wait 4 months after a tattoo or piercing
  • Allow 1 hour to complete the donation process
Do you have a question? An EFS stand is present at every blood drive on campus, so don't hesitate to go and ask your questions!

How does the donation process work?

  • Reception: registration of your file and distribution of the confidential pre-donation questionnaire
  • The confidential medical consultation: your blood is drawn using sterile, single-use equipment (7 to 10 minutes maximum)
  • The sampling: 7 to 10 min.
  • The post-donation snack: a friendly moment of rest and recovery, allowing you to eat and drink.
