As part of the Botalpes project, the DGD BAPSO invites you to the 2nd "Botalpes Herbal Tea" meeting which will take place on Tuesday, April 28 (3 p.m.-4 p.m.) in the auditorium of the Joseph-Fourier University Library.
Lysandre Journiac, a doctoral student at LECA, will address the following theme: "Are we picking at random? An ecological approach to medicinal plants of the French Alps."
Faced with the current enthusiasm for natural remedies, medicinal plants are at the heart of a booming market.
However, behind a long history of traditional use, a question remains: do we really understand the ecology of these plants? By combining data on the characteristics of these plants, their evolutionary history and their habitats, this research attempts to understand why some plants are harvested more than others and how to better protect this biodiversity.

His presentation will be followed by discussions and the tasting of herbal tea.

This event is open to the public and will also be accessible via videoconference.
