How to develop your musical project and where to start? This three-module training course offers concrete keys to understanding how the contemporary music sector works and to sustainably structure your artistic project.
Overview of industry players (producers, venues, managers, etc.), status and intermittent work, administrative structure,
Budget and funding: each module addresses a key aspect of developing a musical project. The training is led by Nicolas Faus, director of Comptoir des Arts and coordinator of the Tempo network in Grenoble, who supports numerous artists in their professional careers.

Module 1 / March 10, 6:30-9:00 PM

Producer, venue, manager, booker, publisher… What is the role of each player in the music industry and how does their work with artists interact? This first module will provide an overview of the professional environment of contemporary music, using the Grenoble ecosystem as a prime example.

Module 2 / March 11, 6:30-9:00 PM

How do you structure your music project to develop it? Should you create an association and how do you obtain intermittent worker status? What does it really mean to be an intermittent worker? The administrative environment surrounding music projects is complex; this module will help you understand its workings, the terminology, and the strategy to implement in order to properly structure your project.

Module 3 / March 12, 6:30-9:00 PM

What does a tour or album budget include? How do you finance your music project? This module will present the basic concepts of a budget and the different possible sources of funding.

The modules are autonomous, but complementary to each other.
