Help with computer equipment

Don't have a computer of your own, or need to repair one? There are ways to help!

"Étuprêt?", the computer loan scheme at Grenoble Alpes University

In Grenoble and Valence, we offer a laptop loan scheme for students in financial difficulty. This scheme is available after a social appraisal by the Crous, and while stocks last.

To find out if you are eligible, you need to complete an online form who will refer you to this scheme or suggest alternatives. Once you have received confirmation of the loan allocation by e-mail, you must collect the equipment from appointment according to the terms and conditions communicated to you. Requests are considered throughout the academic year and can extend over several academic years.

Did you know: why repair your computer?

The aim of the Camio.net scheme is to promote the act of repair rather than buy-back, and to raise awareness of the environmental impact of digital technology. Over the life cycle of a computer, 80% of the environmental impact comes from the manufacturing and transport phases! So let's extend the life of our computers as far as possible, and opt for responsible repair!
