What deviant bodies teach is a gestural lecture: a mixture of academic and experiential knowledge.
As part of Equality Month 2026, participate in a performative conference !
Please note: the conference will take place at the Maison de la Création et de l'Innovation - MaCI

This is about discussing ableismAbleism penalizes any deviation from the able-bodied norm. Anyone whose existence disrupts the world's uniform, runaway progress will be declared disabled. Disability is environment-dependent. Deviant bodies, in addition to surviving, create experimental spaces and propose ambitious organizational transformations.

Anti-ableism is a field of study and activism that is little known in France, but is growing. Ableism is a social, economic, and cultural system that categorizes people based on their abilities. Ableism hierarchizes these categories and organizes access to rights, material goods, and social standing.

The intervention is participatory; we will work to “devalidate” our lives, and why not “devalidate” the university.
