Assistance from Action logement

Visale

Visale is a free guarantee scheme to cover unpaid rent. It is aimed in particular at students under the age of 30 entering accommodation.

To be eligible, you must provide proof of enrolment in a higher education establishment for the current year. Your income must not exceed €1,200 per month.

Loca-Pass advance

The Loca-Pass advance is used to finance the security deposit. It's an interest-free loan granted by an Action logement organization, with no application fees.

It is available to students on state scholarships, those holding an internship agreement of at least three months, and students on fixed-term contracts.

Rental bank guarantees 

Some banks and insurance companies offer a bonding service. You should study the offers when you register or open your account to find out the conditions and costs of this service. In general, a certain level of income is required to qualify for this scheme.

Some landlords take out rental guarantee insurance that exempts the tenant from the need for a guarantor, but this is quite rare.
