"You are Emperor, my Lord, and you weep."

Along with Romeo and Juliet , Bérénice is one of the most beautiful love stories in theatre. The Compagnie Oghma distills the tragedy, telling it through the eyes of three characters. Period costumes and acting immerse us in the 17th century.

Is the Sovereign above the law, or must he obey it like all his subjects? This is the question Racine poses in his tragedy of intimacy and simplicity. Above all, he tells us a story of love and separation that transcends time.
